Additional
Projects
Microsoft Development
Partner Contact
Worked with Microsoft representatives
on-site while at Wired Digital over the course of several months to better
tailor a new product to the needs of content-heavy website producers. This
required designing an isolated network that simulated real-world use, frequent
build updates, meeting deliverable dates, writing and revising the test
plan, weekly conference calls, and eventually integrating the resulting
software into live service. This work resulted in a plaque of recognition
from Microsoft. Also worked with Microsoft to deploy Windows 2000 Advanced
Server to Hotbot prior to product launch to provide promotional material
to Microsoft.
Wired Operations Server
Room
Researched and supervised
the installation of an UPS system, equipment racks, cable management, and
KVM switches. Coordinated work with electrical contractors, equipment vendors,
building management and city electrical inspectors to ensure compliance
with applicable building code. This increased capacity allowed for the
expansion of the software development server cluster and other services
offered by the Operations department as well as adding protection against
frequent power outages. |
